Mechanical Fitter £35,000 Basic + £20.00ph Overtime | Days & Nights Available | 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays Location: Dudley Salary: £35,000 per annum Overtime: £20.00 per hour Shifts: Days & Nights Available Holiday: 25 days + Bank Holidays Employment Type: Permanent Are you an experienced Mechanical Fitter looking for a new opportunity with an established manufacturing business? We're recruiting a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join a busy heavy engineering/foundry environment, keeping critical production machinery operating safely and efficiently. Day and night shifts available, with a £35,000 basic salary, £20 per hour overtime, and 25 days' holiday + bank holidays. What's on Offer? £35,000 basic salary / £20.00 per hour overtime / Additional overtime opportunities Day & Night shifts available 25 days' holiday + Bank Holidays Monday-Friday day shift - Typically: 05:00 - 15:00 or 07:00 - 17:00 Monday-Thursday 10-hour night shift operation Long-term career opportunity The Role: Planned preventative maintenance (PPM), routine machinery checks & lubrication. Mechanical breakdown response, fault diagnosis & root-cause identification. Service & repair of hydraulic, pneumatic, transmission & industrial machinery systems. Installation, inspection, repair & replacement of mechanical components. Support with fabrication, welding, machining & bench fitting. Work closely with production teams and the wider engineering team to resolve issues quickly. Maintain accurate maintenance reports and documentation. Ensure high standards of health & safety and housekeeping. What We're Looking For: Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter or Mechanical Maintenance Engineer. Experience within heavy engineering, manufacturing or foundry environments. Strong mechanical fault-finding skills and experience maintaining industrial machinery.. Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics. Strong understanding of mechanical systems and components. Excellent problem-solving skills. The ability to work independently and as part of a team. A strong commitment to health & safety. Flexibility towards shift working, overtime and weekend cover.
