Job Title: Mechanical Fitter (OUTSIDE IR35) Location: Derby Rate: £24.00 per hour (Ltd Company) Hours: 40 hours per week Duration: 12 - 18 Months Start Date: ASAP Client Overview Specialist engineering company based in Derby, delivering large-scale mechanical overhaul and modification projects. Due to continued project demand, they are looking to recruit experienced Mechanical Fitters for a long-term contract. Key Responsibilities * Carrying out the overhaul, refurbishment and mechanical assembly of heavy engineering equipment. * Stripping, inspecting and rebuilding mechanical components to engineering specifications. * Replacing worn or damaged components and carrying out mechanical modifications where required. * Using engineering drawings, work instructions and technical documentation to complete work accurately. * Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard while maintaining safe working practices. Person Profile * Proven experience working as a Mechanical Fitter within a heavy engineering, manufacturing or industrial environment. * Confident using a wide range of hand and power tools. * Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical instructions. * Experience carrying out mechanical overhauls, repairs and rebuilds. * Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Important Information * This role is based in Derby - no digs or expenses allowance is available. * Contractors will be engaged Outside IR35 through their own Ltd Company. * Applicants must have their own PPE (Safety Boots, Hi-Vis, Gloves, Safety Glasses, etc.). * Applicants must have an active Ltd Company with a separate business bank account. Qualifications * Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering (preferred). * NVQ Level 2 or Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent Mechanical Engineering qualification (preferred).
