Mechanical Rolling Stock Technician Job Type: 12-Month Fixed Term Contract Working Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7am-5pm (40 hours per week), regular Friday overtime available paid at overtime rate Are you an experienced Mechanical Technician looking for your next engineering challenge? We're recruiting for a Technician to support a major rolling stock upgrade programme based at a well-established rail engineering facility in Eastleigh. This is an excellent opportunity to join a long-term project offering excellent rates, regular overtime, and the chance to work with a highly skilled engineering team. Fault finding, testing and commissioning * Preventative and corrective maintenance * Mechanical repairs and defect rectification * Mecahnical Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 Engineering (or equivalent) * Strong Mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills * Experience working in maintenance, overhaul, modification or production environments * Strong commitment to safety and quality standards Rail & Rolling Stock * Aerospace * Automotive * Ex-Forces Engineering * Manufacturing, Industrial or Safety-Critical Environments Competitive pay rates * Monday to Thursday, 7am to 5pm * Regular overtime available * 12-month contract with strong extension potential * Long-term, high-profile engineering project from large well-known brands, to SMEs and start-ups.
