Mechanical Inspector

Our client, a trusted partner of the UK's Ministry of Defence, is seeking a Mechanical Inspector to join the certification team. The role involves authorising products in accordance with the product certification procedure at the Bolton site.Key Responsibilities:

• Certify the product by the product certification procedure and monitor the operators responsible for product certification.
• Upon inspection, check for proper assembly and inspect all parts for defects in finishing painting or surface deterioration.
• Conduct a thorough inspection for any physical damages and perform intermediate inspection checks unrelated to product certification.
• Complete manufacturing data pack paperwork and maintain data records/defect reports.
• Control defect items via segregation from good products and produce relevant inspection/quality control documentation/history sheets and audits.
• Care for and use specialised inspection tools.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable manufacturing procedures and meet inspection times.
• Possess a versatile skill set and apply it to various tasks while maintaining the highest workmanship standards and product quality. Also, keep good housekeeping policies.
• Willing to contribute to an environment of process improvement.
