The Role

We are recruiting for a

Warehouse, Assembly & Installation Engineer

to join an established engineering business based in

Trafford Park, Manchester . This is a varied, hands-on position combining

warehouse duties, mechanical assembly, installation and service support . When based at the Trafford Park facility, you will be involved in the assembly of specialist equipment including

Ultra Flow canopies and medical gas pendants , alongside general warehouse, quality control and dispatch duties. You will also travel to customer sites across the UK to assist with

1st and 2nd fix installations , service work and equipment maintenance. Due to the nature of the position, you must be comfortable travelling throughout the UK and staying away from home on an ad-hoc basis.

Hotels and associated expenses are fully paid , and a

company van will be provided .

Key Responsibilities

General warehouse duties Assembly of Ultra Flow canopies Medical gas pendant assembly 1st and 2nd fix installation of canopies and associated components Supporting the service team with HEPA filter and fan changes Quality control and inspection of assembled equipment Reading and working from technical/engineering drawings Loading and unloading vehicles Deliveries when required Operating a forklift truck where qualified Using hand tools including spanners, screwdrivers and hacksaws Using power tools including SDS drills, jigsaws and grinders Carrying out occasional ad-hoc service work Managing workload in accordance with the company diary/planner Maintaining a professional and friendly attitude when representing the company on customer sites Attending training as required to maintain and develop skills

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who is

practical, hands-on and mechanically minded , with a strong can-do attitude. Previous engineering, assembly, installation, ductwork or AHU experience would be advantageous, although

full industry-specific experience is not essential . You should ideally have: Some previous engineering, mechanical assembly or installation experience Experience using hand and power tools Ability to read and understand technical drawings Excellent attention to detail Good communication and customer service skills Basic IT skills Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team Flexibility regarding working hours, travel and overnight stays Full UK driving licence - essential

Desirable Qualifications

Any of the following would be advantageous: CSCS Card IPAF PASMA Forklift Truck Licence Engineering or science-based qualification Previous AHU or ductwork installation experience These qualifications are preferred but are

not essential , and candidates with the right practical engineering background and attitude are encouraged to apply.

Working Hours & Travel

Normal warehouse hours are

8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday to Friday . Due to customer installations and service requirements, candidates must be flexible regarding: UK-wide travel Overnight stays Occasional evening work Weekend working when required Overtime All required accommodation and business expenses are paid, with hotel accommodation typically provided.
