- £38,500What You'll Do:Join a growing Material processing facility where no two days look the same.

You will be part of a hands-on engineering team, playing a key role in keeping plant operations running efficiently and safely.Carry out daily inspections across plant and workshop areas, ensuring high safety and housekeeping standardsWork from maintenance schedules and job sheets, prioritising urgent tasks effectivelyDeliver planned preventative maintenance, forming the majority of your workloadRespond to breakdowns quickly to minimise downtime across the siteMaintain and repair conveyors, screening equipment and plant machineryWork within permit systems, risk assessments and safe systems of workSupport a fast-paced environment, handling multiple maintenance challenges each dayWhat You'll Bring:NVQ Level 3 in Engineering or equivalent qualificationAt least 5 years' experience within manufacturing, production or heavy plant environmentsStrong mechanical background with experience on conveyors, rollers, belts, motors and gearboxesConfident fault finding and ability to strip down and rebuild mechanical componentsSolid hydraulics knowledge, including pressure testing and component replacementUnderstanding of pneumatics and ability to fault find and repair systemsExperience dealing with common plant issues such as blockages, belt failures and component breakdownsBasic electrical knowledge including isolation and safe working practices is desirableExposure to PLC systems would be advantageous but not essentialA proactive, team-focused attitude with strong problem-solving abilityComfortable working in a demanding, hands-on waste processing environmentWhy You Should Apply:This is an excellent opportunity to join a business that is continuing to invest and grow, offering genuine long-term stability and career progression.Clear pathway into Senior Engineer or Team Lead rolesOpportunities to move into operations, continuous improvement or off-tools rolesSupportive and collaborative team culture with a hands-on managerOngoing training and development with real investment in your careerStrong benefits package including enhanced pension and full PPE provisionOption to work bank holidays at double time with additional days backReady to Apply?Contact Jacob Purcell to find out more.Please apply with a CV and a cover letter outlining why you're perfect for the role.Know someone great for the job?
