We are currently recruiting for an experienced
Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
to join a well-established and highly reputable organisation based in
Hatfield, Hertfordshire . This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled mechanical engineer looking for a stable, Monday-to-Friday position with
excellent company benefits, a strong private pension scheme, overtime opportunities and genuine training and progression prospects . You will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance across a range of building services and mechanical systems, ensuring equipment and facilities remain safe, reliable and operational. Key Responsibilities
Carry out
Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
and reactive maintenance. Maintain and service a range of mechanical building services equipment. Work on
pumps, valves and associated mechanical systems . Maintain and fault-find on
boilers and chillers . Maintain
calorifiers, FCUs and AHUs . Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out effective repairs. Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and to a high standard. Complete maintenance records and relevant documentation. Work proactively to identify potential issues before they result in equipment failure. Support the wider engineering and facilities team when required. The Ideal Candidate
The successful
Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
will ideally have: Previous experience within a
mechanical maintenance or building services environment . Strong practical knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment. Experience working with
pumps, valves, boilers, chillers, calorifiers, FCUs and AHUs . A good understanding of PPM and reactive maintenance. Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills. The ability to work independently as well as part of a team. A professional and proactive approach to maintenance. Relevant mechanical engineering qualifications would be advantageous.
