MECHANICAL MAINTENANCE ENGINEER Location: Menston Salary: £43,000 Shift: Days We are recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business in Menston.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced mechanical maintenance professional to join a stable site and play a key role in maintaining the reliability and efficiency of production equipment.
Job Role As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance across a busy manufacturing environment.
You will be working on a range of mechanical production machinery and site equipment, diagnosing faults and ensuring equipment is maintained to a high standard.
The role will involve mechanical fault finding, planned preventative maintenance, breakdown response and supporting continuous improvement across the site.
Non-Negotiable Requirements for the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer: Completed a recognised Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
Strong mechanical maintenance experience within a manufacturing, industrial or automated environment.
Experience with mechanical fault finding and maintenance of industrial machinery.
Comfortable working a days-based shift pattern.
Able to work independently and respond effectively to breakdowns.
Requirements for the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer: Experience carrying out planned and reactive maintenance.
Strong mechanical fault-finding skills.
Experience working with bearings, belts, chains, gearboxes, pumps and other mechanical equipment.
Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance.
Previous experience working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Desirable Requirements for the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer: Experience working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Experience with continuous improvement and root cause analysis.
Additional electrical maintenance experience would be advantageous.
Experience working within an automated manufacturing environment.
