Mechanical Project Engineer - Water Industry Location: Hybrid / Site Based - South East Rate: Circa £450 p/d Ltd or CIS The Role: We're currently recruiting for a Mechanical Project Engineer with experience in the front end of project delivery. You'll play a key part in shaping projects before they reach construction, working closely with operations, design teams and clients to define the most practical, cost-effective engineering solutions across water and wastewater treatment sites. Duties: Working across clean and wastewater treatment sites, you'll be responsible for: * Carrying out mechanical site surveys and asset condition assessments. * Developing project scopes and engineering solutions. * Producing feasibility studies and optioneering reports. * Defining mechanical equipment replacements and upgrade strategies. * Supporting outline and detailed design teams with practical engineering input. * Preparing budgets, estimates and technical scopes for tender. * Working alongside commercial and delivery teams during pre-construction. * Providing technical support throughout construction and commissioning. * Liaising with water company clients, operations teams and subcontractors. * Ensuring solutions comply with client standards and current legislation.
