We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join the project team on a major mixed-use development project. The successful candidate will take responsibility for the mechanical services package from pre-construction through installation, commissioning and handover.
Mechanical Project Manager Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the mechanical services package throughout the project lifecycle.
* Manage mechanical subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and specialist contractors.
* Coordinate mechanical works with electrical, structural, architectural and other building services disciplines.
* Review drawings, specifications, technical submissions and design information.
* Monitor programme, progress, quality and installation standards.
* Manage procurement, materials, plant and specialist equipment.
* Ensure works are delivered in accordance with project specifications, programme and budget.
* Chair and attend coordination and progress meetings.
* Identify and resolve technical issues, design clashes and construction constraints.
* Monitor health & safety and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and project requirements.
* Manage testing, commissioning, snagging and final handover of mechanical systems.
* Maintain accurate project records, reports and documentation.
* Work closely with the Project Director / Construction Manager to ensure successful project delivery.
Mechanical Project Manager Requirements:
* CSCS
* SMSTS
* Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager within the construction or building services sector.
* Strong experience delivering mechanical services on large-scale commercial, residential or mixed-use developments.
* Excellent knowledge of mechanical building services, including HVAC, heating, ventilation, plumbing and associated systems.
* Strong understanding of construction programmes, project controls and subcontractor management.
* Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
* Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under programme pressure.
