Mechanical Repair Technician

Mechanical Maintenance Technician (Nights) 3 night on, 2 off, 3 nights on, 4 off (12-hour shifts, 7–7) We are recruiting for a leading global manufacturer operating within a fast-paced production environment, supplying high-quality packaging solutions to major brands. Responsibilities - Mechanical Maintenance Technician Carry out fault diagnosis and repairs on mechanical and hydraulic systems across production equipment Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to maximise machinery reliability and efficiency Troubleshoot breakdowns and implement effective, long-term solutions to minimise downtime Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimise equipment performance (OEE) Maintain and service site equipment, utilities, and general mechanical systems Work collaboratively with production teams to ensure minimal disruption to operations Complete maintenance records and ensure all work is carried out in line with health & safety standards Assist with basic electrical fault finding and repair where required Experience / Qualifications - Mechanical Maintenance Technician Minimum Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) Strong mechanical maintenance background within a manufacturing or production environment Experience working with hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems Basic electrical fault-finding ability (desirable, not essential) Comfortable working in a fast-paced, shift-based environment Benefits - Mechanical Maintenance Technician Competitive salary based on experience Structured shift pattern allowing for regular extended time off Opportunity to work within a modern, well-invested manufacturing facility Ongoing training and development opportunities Pension scheme and other standard company benefits For details of other opportunities available within your chosen field, please visit Omega is an employment agency specialising in opportunities at all levels within the Engineering, Manufacturing, Aerospace, Automotive, Electronics, Defence, Scientific, Energy & Renewables and Tech sectors.
