Job Title: Mechanical Supervisor / Pipefitter Supervisor Salary: £20 - £23 per hour Location: Hoddesdon Role Outline We are recruiting a Mechanical Supervisor (Pipefitter Supervisor background welcome) for an established client in the water industry. Mechanical Supervisor Responsibilities * Carry out on-site dynamic risk assessments, identify health and safety hazards, and ensure operatives adhere to safety procedures. * Lead mechanical site installations, fault-finding, and technical problem-solving. * Plan daily site activities, allocate team skill sets, and provide technical guidance to ground operatives. * Liaise directly with client contacts and Project Managers to address planning or access issues. * Conduct site surveys, inspections, and maintain accurate daily site logs. * Manage stock levels of consumables and ensure all near misses, accidents, and non-conformances are reported. Mechanical / Pipefitter Supervisor Requirements * Education: GCSEs (or equivalent standard) in English and Maths. * Qualifications: Completed a modern apprenticeship or equivalent in engineering. * Technical Background: Proven hands-on site engineering experience with strong working knowledge of pipework, screens, pumps, and motors. * Certifications: CSCS card (or equivalent) required. EUSR Water & Sewage, PASMA, IPAF, Confined Space (High Risk), and Abrasive Wheels are preferred. * Attributes: Self-motivated team player with strong communication skills and the ability to work calmly under pressure
