Mechanical Test Engineer

Mechanical Test Engineer 32-38K + Excellent Benefits (Pension, health, holidays, 8% bonusetc) We have an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical/Thermal Test Engineer to join a world leading engineering company specialised in developing products for the pharmaceutical and medical industries. As part of the Engineering team, the Mechanical Test Engineer will be responsible for: Looking after projects from an initial brief by liaising with customers during the process Carrying out various tests including thermal and structural analysis and simulations Writing of technical documentation to required standards; Engineering Memos, Qualification Protocols and Reports, Performance Summaries and Assembly Posters. Responsible for the calibration of all equipment used for testing and evaluation of the results. Creating 3D CAD models of packaging components and system assemblies when required Transfer 3D CAD models to thermal simulation software, setup and run simulations. 1-5 years post graduate experience in a similar test engineering or a customer facing engineering position within a manufacturing/engineering environment Bachelor Engineering Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related subject) Thermal simulation software experience would be an advantage, however not essential. Must be able to operate in a fast-paced organization and handle multiple projects simultaneously within set Must be able to interact effectively and diplomatically with all company personnel and customers under minimum supervision and be responsive to the requirements of department members and other departments with whom interaction is necessary. Experience in writing technical documentation and reports would be a distinct advantage, however not essential.
