Medical Director, Oncology Clinical Development

Contract: Temporary - 6 months

SRG are seeking an experienced Clinical Development Medical Director with Oncology expertise to support a leading pharmaceutical company on a temporary basis. Join a team dedicated to advancing innovative oncology therapies through high quality clinical research. This is an exciting opportunity for a physician leader to shape clinical development strategy, drive global oncology trials, and collaborate with leading scientific experts.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and execution of Phase I-III oncology clinical trials.
  • Provide medical oversight and monitoring for ongoing studies, including safety and eligibility reviews.
  • Contribute to clinical development strategies that support regulatory submissions and successful product launches.
  • Interpret and communicate clinical study data, including efficacy, safety, and patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across clinical, regulatory, biostatistics, research, and medical affairs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external scientific leaders, investigators, and key opinion leaders.


Skills & Experience Required

  • MD (or equivalent) with board certification or eligibility in Medical Oncology, Hematology, Radiation Oncology, or Internal Medicine with relevant oncology experience.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or clinical research environments.
  • Strong understanding of the clinical drug development process and execution of clinical trials.
  • Demonstrated experience reviewing and interpreting clinical data to inform development decisions.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
  • Strong scientific communication, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional leadership skills.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree such as PhD, MBA, or MPH.
  • Experience leading oncology clinical development programmes and clinical trial strategy.
  • Track record of scientific publications, research leadership, or recognised clinical expertise. xwzovoh
  • Strong knowledge of evolving oncology treatment landscapes, clinical practice trends, and competitive developments.
