MET Technician

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for the position of MET Technician at a prestigious accident repair centre in Derby, Derbyshire. Benefits: Salary of £40,000 per annum plus bonus 40-hour working week with regular hours Opportunity to work on high-end, prestigious vehicles Commitment to ongoing training and professional development Support for developing EV awareness and technical skills Collaborative, highly skilled team environment Supportive management with an emphasis on quality workmanship Excellent working conditions and good housekeeping standardsDuties: Prepare vehicles to a high standard, ensuring quality of work Complete mechanical, electrical, and trim strip and refit work Diagnose vehicle issues accurately and communicate findings effectively Conduct vehicle strip and refit work with precision Assist in developing EV knowledge and maintain compliance with relevant standards Collaborate with colleagues on larger repairs to meet deadlines Report additional work requirements to the Bodyshop Advisor Maintain product knowledge and technical expertise Uphold high standards of workmanship and customer service Maintain accurate work documentation and good housekeeping practicesRequirements: Previous experience as an MET Technician or in a similar role Experience within a main dealership or accident repair centre, ideally with premium vehicle brands Strong mechanical, electrical, and trim knowledge Proven ability to strip and refit vehicles to a high standard Excellent attention to detail and pride in workmanship Ability to work independently and within a team Good communication skills and technical literacy Confidence in using computer platforms and systems Accident repair and/or ATA qualification is desirable Enthusiasm to enhance technical knowledge and skillsThis MET Technician role represents a rewarding career opportunity for qualified professionals eager to work on prestigious vehicles, with a recognised employer committed to excellence.
