We are currently seeking an experienced MET Technician for a well-established accident repair business in Telford, Shropshire. Benefits of the MET Technician: Competitive salary up to £45,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications OTE exceeding £50,000 Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm working hours 30 days holiday including bank holidays, with additional long service days Company pension scheme Health cash plan and high street discounts through a rewards platform Cycle to work scheme Free onsite parking Recommend a Friend technician bonus scheme Long service awards and colleague recognition programmes Opportunities to develop within a professional accident repair environmentDuties of the MET Technician: Dismantling damaged vehicles following repair estimates and manufacturer repair methods Removing and refitting mechanical, electrical, and trim components safely and efficiently Reassembling vehicles to manufacturer and company standards Identifying additional damage or missing parts Checking parts for correctness and availability Reconnecting and testing mechanical and electrical systems post-repair Ensuring safety-critical components are fitted correctly and securely Performing quality control checks before vehicles proceed to the next repair stage Working collaboratively with estimators, workshop controllers, and colleagues Maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe working environment Adhering to all health & safety procedures, repair methods, and company policiesRequirements of the MET Technician: Minimum of 3 years' experience as a MET Technician within an accident repair or bodyshop environment Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and trim systems Ability to interpret repair estimates, technical instructions, and manufacturer repair methods Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality Good understanding of workshop health & safety procedures Capable of working effectively as part of a team Professional attitude and reliable work ethic IMI accreditation is preferred Familiarity with vehicle safety systems and modern accident repair techniquesContact Archie Lawson, Automotive Recruitment Specialist at Perfect Placement covering Telford and Shropshire, today to discover more about this fantastic MET Technician opportunity.
