We are currently seeking an experienced MET Technician for a well-established accident repair business in Telford, Shropshire. This is a compelling opportunity for skilled professionals to join a reputable team committed to quality and safety standards.

Opportunities to develop within a professional accident repair environmentDuties of the MET Technician:
Dismantling damaged vehicles following repair estimates and manufacturer repair methods
Removing and refitting mechanical, electrical, and trim components safely and efficiently
Reassembling vehicles to manufacturer and company standards
Identifying additional damage or missing parts
Checking parts for correctness and availability
Reconnecting and testing mechanical and electrical systems post-repair
Ensuring safety-critical components are fitted correctly and securely
Performing quality control checks before vehicles proceed to the next repair stage
Working collaboratively with estimators, workshop controllers, and colleagues
Maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe working environment
Adhering to all health & safety procedures, repair methods, and company policiesRequirements of the MET Technician:
Minimum of 3 years' experience as a MET Technician within an accident repair or bodyshop environment
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and trim systems
Ability to interpret repair estimates, technical instructions, and manufacturer repair methods
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
Good understanding of workshop health & safety procedures
Capable of working effectively as part of a team
Professional attitude and reliable work ethic
IMI accreditation is preferred
