Mobile Forklift Engineer Location: Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire Salary: £31,000-£38,000+ (DOE) + Overtime (1.33x) + On-Call Allowance Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 16:30 Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time The Company Interaction Technical is working in partnership with a well-established and respected material handling company that provides service, maintenance, and repair solutions across the region. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Mobile Forklift Engineer to join their expanding team. What's on Offer Salary from £31,000-£38,000+, depending on experience and ongoing performance Overtime paid at 1.33x hourly rate Company van and fuel card provided Paid travel time Paid on-call rota allowance (call-outs are rare) 20 days holiday + bank holidays, increasing to 25 days with service Company pension scheme Ongoing training and development opportunities Friendly and supportive working environment Excellent long-term career prospects The Role As a Mobile Forklift Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing a variety of forklift trucks and material handling equipment at customer sites throughout the local area. Key responsibilities include: Diagnosing faults, servicing, and repairing forklift trucks and associated equipment Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) Attending breakdowns and providing effective fault-finding solutions Completing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repairs Conducting safety inspections and ensuring equipment remains compliant Accurately completing service reports and documentation Delivering excellent customer service while representing the company professionally Participating in the paid on-call rota as required What We're Looking For Experience working within the forklift, plant, agricultural, HGV, automotive, or material handling industries (essential) Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical fault-finding skills Experience servicing and repairing mobile equipment or machinery Ability to work independently and manage your own workload Full UK Driving Licence (essential) NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent engineering qualification (advantageous) Strong communication and customer service skills About Interaction Recruitment Interaction Recruitment has specialist consultants operating across key sectors, including: Technical & Engineering Industrial Commercial Finance & IT Hospitality We provide both permanent and temporary recruitment solutions nationwide.
