Optical Assistant Job - North West London Location: North West London / Domiciliary Salary: £28,000 DOE + Bonus + Mileage Hours: Full Time or Part Time | Monday to Friday About the Opportunity Zest Optical are working alongside a growing independent domiciliary eyecare provider to recruit an Optical Assistant to join their team in North West London. Established by an experienced domiciliary Optometrist, the business has been created around a simple philosophy: delivering personal, unhurried eyecare and building genuine long-term relationships with patients. Following a successful launch and continued growth across London and the Home Counties, they are now looking for an Optical Assistant who would enjoy stepping away from the traditional practice environment and becoming part of the business at an exciting stage of its development. Previous domiciliary experience isn't essential, making this a great opportunity for an Optical Assistant looking for something different from the high street. The Role Your role will be varied and can develop around your strengths and interests, with responsibilities including: Supporting the Optometrist during clinic days Helping patients with frame and lens selection Delivering completed eyewear and providing ongoing aftercare Collecting and organising orders from the company's North West London laboratory Building trusted, long-term relationships with patients Managing your own schedule when completing deliveries and visits Supporting relationships with local care homes and independent living providers Opportunity to become involved in marketing and business development if of interestAs the company continues to grow, there will be plenty of opportunity to shape your position and take on additional responsibility. About You We're looking for an Optical Assistant who is personable, reliable and genuinely enjoys spending time with patients. You'll have: Previous Optical Assistant experience within an optical practice or domiciliary setting A patient and personable approach Confidence communicating with people from a wide variety of backgrounds The ability to work independently and organise your own day A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicleDomiciliary experience is not essential, with full support available for somebody moving across from a practice environment.
