Position: Monitoring EngineerLocation: Hemel HempsteadDaily Rate: £600 to £750 Inside IR35Clearance: UKSV DV Clearance RequiredWe are currently seeking an experienced Monitoring Engineer to join a high-profile defence sector client on a contract basis.The successful candidate will be responsible for the implementation, administration, and optimisation of enterprise monitoring and management platforms, ensuring the availability, performance, and security of critical infrastructure and services.Key Skills & ExperienceStrong hands-on experience with SCOM (System Center Operations Manager)Experience administering SCCM / MECM (Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager)Proven background in Microsoft infrastructure technologies, including Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Azure servicesExperience configuring and managing monitoring, alerting, reporting, and performance management solutionsGood understanding of networking technologies, including TCP/IP, routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and network troubleshootingExperience supporting complex enterprise environments and resolving infrastructure-related incidentsPowerShell scripting and automation experienceKnowledge of ITIL-based service management practicesDesirablePrevious experience within Defence, Government, or other highly regulated environmentsExposure to Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, or other enterprise monitoring technologiesUnderstanding of secure, air-gapped, or classified environmentsThis is an excellent opportunity to work within a mission-critical defence environment, supporting the monitoring and management of complex Microsoft and network infrastructure while contributing to the resilience and performance of key operational systems.To learn more, please do reach out to Tom Royston via email onReasonable Adjustments:Respect and equality are core values to us.
