MOT Technician

We are recruiting on behalf of a respected family-run service centre in Aldershot for the position of MOT Technician. This MOT Technician role offers an excellent opportunity for skilled automotive professionals to join a stable and friendly environment with a renowned local business. Benefits of a MOT Technician: Competitive basic salary between £38,000 and £42,000, dependent on experience Monday to Friday working hours, from 8am to 5pm, with no weekends or bank holidays Opportunity to undertake vehicle servicing and repairs alongside MOT testing State-of-the-art MOT bay equipped with modern facilities Secure employment with company pension scheme and additional benefits Uniform and safety equipment provided Ongoing training and development opportunities within a supportive teamDuties of a MOT Technician: Conduct Class 4 MOT tests on cars and light vans in compliance with DVSA standards Perform routine vehicle servicing, diagnostics, and repairs as required Maintain accurate documentation of all vehicle test results and service records Ensure all MOT activities adhere to DVSA MOT Testing Scheme guidelines Maintain the cleanliness and operational status of MOT bay equipment Support vehicle health checks, safety inspections, and post-repair assessments Assist during vehicle diagnostics and additional examinations when required Uphold the safety, security, and integrity of the MOT scheme at all times Deliver high standards of customer service and technical expertise within the teamRequirements of a MOT Technician: Fully qualified MOT Tester with a valid Class 4 certification Previous experience conducting MOT tests on cars and light vans Basic knowledge of vehicle diagnostics and repairs Ability to work efficiently within a fast-paced automotive environment Excellent attention to detail and adherence to safety standards Valid MOT Tester’s certificate, or a recent qualification for re-examination Proactive attitude with a commitment to quality and complianceThis position is ideal for an experienced MOT Technician eager to develop their career within a reputable organisation.
