Location: London (5 days onsite)

Contract: Initial 3 months, likely extension

Day Rate: £400-£450 per day via Umbrella

Sector: FinTech / Digital Product

We're partnering with a global FinTech organisation looking for a Product Motion Designer to join a high-profile digital product team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Motion Designer who has evolved into the digital product space, applying motion thinking to mobile apps, user journeys and digital experiences rather than traditional video, social or marketing content.

Motion remains central to the role, but you'll also understand how movement influences usability, engagement and navigation across modern digital products.

What we're looking for

We're interested in Motion Designers who can demonstrate experience creating motion within:

• Mobile applications

• Digital products or web-based platforms

• Mobile-first motion design

• User interfaces and digital experiences

You'll be comfortable using Figma to prototype interactions, showcasing how motion supports user experience through transitions, behaviours and micro-interactions.

This role would suit someone whose background may include:

• Product Motion Designer

• UI Motion Designer

• UX Motion Designer

• Digital Motion Designer

• Mobile Motion Designer

• Interaction Designer with a strong motion focus

The Role

You'll help shape how users experience motion throughout a large-scale digital product ecosystem.

Examples of the work include:

• Mobile app transitions

• Navigation and wayfinding behaviours

• Loading states and feedback loops

• Micro-interactions

• Onboarding experiences

• Screen-to-screen transitions

• Scroll behaviours

• Component animations

• Motion systems and principles

• Interactive prototypes

You'll collaborate closely with Product Designers, UX teams and Developers, helping bring motion concepts from prototype through to production.

Key Responsibilities

• Design engaging motion experiences for digital products and mobile applications

• Create interaction prototypes using Figma

• Develop micro-interactions, transitions and behavioural patterns

• Define motion principles and interaction guidelines

• Partner with Product, UX and Engineering teams

• Present concepts and explain design decisions to stakeholders

• Support implementation by working closely with development teams

• Create work that is practical, scalable and production-ready

About You

• Strong background in motion design with clear digital product experience

• Demonstrable experience designing motion for apps, platforms or digital products

• Strong Figma skills, including prototyping

• Strong understanding of interaction design principles

• Able to explain the purpose behind motion and behavioural design choices

• Experience collaborating within product and technology teams

• Comfortable presenting work and discussing process

• Available for an initial 3-month contract

• Able to work onsite in London five days per week

Portfolio Requirements

To be considered, your portfolio should demonstrate:

Motion within digital projects or mobile apps

Prototypes and interaction flows (ideally Figma based)

UI transitions and micro-interactions

Mobile-first experiences

Work that progressed into production

Examples of particularly relevant work include:

• Banking or FinTech apps

• Consumer mobile apps

• E-commerce platforms

• Digital services

• Technology products

Please note: portfolios focused purely on brand animation, social content, video production, advertising campaigns or showreel work are unlikely to be suitable unless accompanied by clear digital product and app-based motion examples. xwzovoh

Please ensure you:

• Are UK-based and authorised to work in the UK

• Can commute to London five days per week

• Are available to start within the next 2-4 weeks

• Are comfortable with the advertised day rate (£400-£450 per day via Umbrella)

• Can provide relevant product motion and Figma-based examples

Application

Please send:
