Were working with a large pan-European manufacturing business which operates 7 days a week that is actively seeking to add an experienced Multiskilled Maintenance Electrician to join its site Manufacturing Engineering Support teams.
Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer 40 hours per week - Monday to Friday based on Double Day shift
6am-2pm/2pm-10pm
Participation in weekend On Call Rota (approx 1 in 5).
Location:
nr Chippenham, Wiltshire Salary:
Circa £40,000 (plus on £3800 annual on call allowance)
The positions responsibilities are: Reactive Maintenance on automated production machinery Pre-planned Maintenance (PPM) - Input to and carry out preventive maintenance routines Mechanical fault finding Electrical fault finding with and without diagrams (three phase and control systems) Fault finding and repair on hydraulic or pneumatic systems Small installation projects Continuous Improvement to maintain optimal machine efficiency To keep clean any areas in which you are working, including transit areas to and from the workshop, the workshop and stores Support the Operations team in achieving targets Complying to the companys Health and Safety policies and procedures Contributing to cost effective technical solutions Deliver to the operational expectations Be part of a weekend call-out rota
To be successful, we would like you to have: A recognised industrial Electrical qualification 18th Edition and Level 3 Electrical Engineering qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent) is preferred Have experience working as a Shift Engineer or as a dedicated Electrical or Multiskilled Engineer in a Manufacturing environment. Experience in a manufacturing or industrial automation environment is critical, print, packaging or related industries would be helpful. Excellent fault finding and diagnostic skills Ability to read and interpret engineering diagrams Experience with maintenance PPM and RM programmes. Ideally experience working a buddy system with a Mechanical or Multiskilled Engineer. Have good communication, organisational and team work skills. Self motivation, ability to apply initiative and determination.
Specific training where required will be provided, OEM suppliers and via remote modem diagnostic support from the OEM.
