The Role

We are seeking a skilled

Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer

to join a busy facilities maintenance team supporting a large and diverse estate. This is a varied, hands-on role involving both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs across a range of building services. You'll help ensure buildings and facilities remain safe, compliant and fully operational.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs Diagnose faults and undertake repairs across mechanical, electrical, HVAC and plumbing systems, with a focus on your core trade Support colleagues across multiple disciplines to maintain service continuity Use CAFM systems to manage and record maintenance activities Liaise with contractors and site stakeholders Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety and compliance requirements Participate in the on-call rota

Essential Requirements

Full UK driving licence Recognised trade qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent) in Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services or a related discipline Previous experience in building maintenance, facilities management or building services Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills Good understanding of health and safety legislation Strong communication and teamwork skills

Desirable

Experience working within a large commercial, educational, healthcare or public-sector environment Knowledge of CAFM systems and Building Management Systems (BMS) Multi-skilled experience across additional trades Experience supervising contractors or supporting small projects
