We are currently recruiting for a
Multi Skilled Engineer (Electrical Bias)
to join a leading Facilities Management team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer with a strong electrical background who also has a good understanding of mechanical building services. Working within a commercial environment, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across the site, ensuring all building services, plant and equipment remain operational, safe and compliant. Key Responsibilities
Carry out
planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
and reactive maintenance across electrical and mechanical building services.
Diagnose faults and complete repairs in a timely and efficient manner.
Undertake electrical maintenance including: Lighting systems
Emergency lighting testing
Small power repairs
Electrical fault finding
General electrical installations
Support with mechanical maintenance tasks including: AHUs and FCUs
Pumps, motors and valves
Heating systems
Ventilation systems
Basic plumbing repairs
Water temperature checks and general water hygiene tasks
Complete routine inspections of plant rooms and building services equipment.
Maintain accurate records using CAFM systems.
Respond to breakdowns and ensure faults are resolved within agreed timescales.
Work closely with contractors and other site teams where required.
Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with current health & safety legislation.
Requirements
Electrically qualified with a recognised qualification (NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds or equivalent).
18th Edition Wiring Regulations
(17th Edition considered).
Previous experience working within
Facilities Management, commercial buildings, or building services maintenance .
Strong electrical fault-finding skills.
Good understanding of mechanical systems and general building maintenance.
Experience carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance.
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
