This is a senior associate seat in one of the region's most active corporate teams. It's open to established senior associates and to associates already operating at that level.

The differentiator is ownership. You'll run your own caseload and hold your own client relationships, leading on smaller deals while working alongside senior lawyers on high-value matters - the substance of a partnership case rather than a deferred one, in a team given the time to build client relationships properly rather than bill against the clock.

The work is genuinely international for a firm of this size: private companies and PLCs, UK and cross-border, with the team having acted across 25 jurisdictions in the past twelve months. The technical spread covers M&A, private equity investments, buyouts, joint ventures, reorganisations and corporate governance.

On track record, this team has been the most active corporate dealmaker in the region for five consecutive years, on deals exceeding £100m. Its standing is reflected in a Band 1 Chambers UK ranking for Corporate/M&A (£5m and above) in Yorkshire, several Leading Individuals, and Regional Legal Team of the Year at the 2026 Yorkshire Rainmaker Awards for the second year running.

Collaboration is a real feature rather than a slogan: you'll work across other teams regularly to share opportunities and knowledge, and you'll be expected to develop junior lawyers as part of the senior role.
