If you’re a Newly Qualified Family Solicitor looking to accelerate your career, this is one of the strongest opportunities in the North West.

You’ll join a highly respected specialist family law team that advises on complex, privately funded matters typically associated with larger city firms, while benefiting from a supportive, close-knit environment where learning is prioritised over hitting billing targets.

During your first year, you’ll work side‑by‑side with experienced Partners and senior lawyers, supporting on a broad range of high‑quality cases including divorce, financial remedy, high‑net‑worth matters, private children work and pre‑ and post‑nuptial agreements.

As your career develops, you’ll begin managing more of your own matters, strengthen your advocacy skills and build your profile through networking, articles and business development.

Who we’re looking for

  • Newly Qualified Solicitor
  • Experience in family law through training, paralegal or post‑qualified work
  • Excellent drafting, communication and client care skills
  • Strong academics and attention to detail
  • Experience of private family law matters (desirable)
  • Bright, enthusiastic and eager to learn
  • Collaborative, approachable and motivated to build a long‑term career in family law

What you’ll be doing

  • Assisting Partners and senior lawyers on complex private family matters
  • Supporting clients on divorce, financial remedy and private children cases
  • Carrying out legal research and drafting legal documents
  • Preparing court bundles and case documentation
  • Attending client meetings and court hearings
  • Supporting business development and marketing initiatives
  • Gradually taking ownership of your own matters as your experience develops
