Our Client a growing boutique Litigation firm specialising in high-stakes litigation, white-collar crime, and complex fraud investigations. The are seeking a talented and ambitious Criminal Defence and Fraud NQ Solicitor with 2 to 3 years NQ experience to join our discrete, highly regarded team. In this role, you will work directly with partners on high-profile, sensitive cases. You will handle a mixed caseload of serious general crime and complex financial crime, including corporate fraud, bribery, corruption, tax evasion, and asset forfeiture. This position offers an exceptional opportunity for a NQ lawyer to gain significant autonomy, direct client contact, and hands-on trial experience in a supportive, collaborative boutique environment. Key Responsibilities Manage and assist on a diverse caseload of private criminal defence matters and complex financial fraud investigations. Draft high-quality legal documents, including witness statements, representations, case analyses, and instructions to counsel. Attend police stations and regulatory interviews to advise corporate and individual clients at critical stages of investigations. Actively prepare cases for trial in the Magistrates' Court and Crown Court, working closely with leading criminal defence barristers. Conduct thorough legal research and factual analysis on complex regulatory frameworks and criminal statutes. Maintain exceptional client relationships, providing clear, empathetic, and highly strategic legal advice to individuals under significant stress. Contribute to the firm's business development initiatives, including writing legal updates and attending networking events. Key Requirements Newley Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with 23 years NQ experience in criminal defence and/or fraud litigation. Proven experience handling general criminal matters alongside corporate or financial crime investigations (SFO, FCA, HMRC, or CPS prosecutions). Exceptional analytical and research skills, with a sharp eye for detail when reviewing complex financial evidence or digital forensics. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex legal arguments persuasively. A proactive, resilient, and collaborative mindset, with the adaptability required to thrive in a fast-paced boutique environment.
