Job summary

Main duties of the job

  • Provide effective leadership: Motivate, train and support care staff through supervision and feedback, leading shifts, care practice monitoring and role modelling
  • Support at night: Help with activities including personal care and administering medication, ensuring the comfort, wellbeing and safety of our residents
  • Person-centred care: Tailor your care planning to meet the unique needs of each resident
  • Build relationships: Establish supportive connections with residents, their families, and colleagues

What were looking for:

You may already have experience of working with older adults but its not essential; we provide all the training you need. Whats more important is that you have the right values, skills and motivations

  • Qualification: Hold an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent qualification) or be working towards this currently, or willing to
  • Proven track record: Experience of successfully working with or supporting adults or children. This could be in a range of environments
  • Passion and dedication: A desire to help others and make a positive and lasting difference
  • Self-motivation: Committed to learn and continually develop to deliver the best care
  • Leadership skills: Lead, motivate and support colleagues
  • Respect, patience and compassion: Understand and share the feelings of others to build trust and provide emotional support
  • Communication skills: Clear and effective communication with residents, families and colleagues
  • Problem-solving skills: Handle unexpected situations calmly and effectively

For this role you'll be required to work nights, weekends and bank holidays for which enhancements will be paid in line with the HCC salary policy.
