Mechanical Maintenance Engineer (Days) | West Midlands | £35,000 + Overtime Monday to Thursday | 5:00am Start 40 Hours Per Week Overtime: £20/hour | Sundays: £33.65/hour Permanent Position We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established heavy engineering manufacturer operating within the casting and engineering sector. Due to ongoing investment and increased production demands, the business is looking to appoint a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join its engineering team on a permanent day shift. This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable manufacturer with a strong order book, significant investment plans and a long-term commitment to engineering excellence. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you'll be responsible for maintaining and improving plant reliability across a busy manufacturing operation. Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance activities Diagnose and repair faults on hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems Perform welding, cutting, grinding and general fabrication work Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime Overtime paid at £20/hour Sunday overtime paid at £33.65/hour Permanent day shift Stable employer with long-term growth plans Significant ongoing investment in plant and equipment Strong overtime earning potential Flexible holiday booking outside of shutdown periods Engineering-focused environment with genuine development opportunities We're interested in engineers from heavy manufacturing, foundry, steel, quarrying, aggregates, recycling, cement, process manufacturing or similar industrial environments. Pumps, conveyors and industrial machinery Welding, cutting and grinding Experience in planned and reactive maintenance Basic electrical fault-finding knowledge Experience within a foundry environment would be advantageous but is not essential. This is a heavy industrial manufacturing environment involving heat, dust, noise and large-scale production equipment.
