Nights Mechanical Maintenance Engineer (Permanent)

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Location: Working Hours: Monday Friday, 8:00am 5:00pm Holiday: 25 days + Bank Holidays Overtime: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Hatfield Up to £45,000 We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established and highly reputable organisation based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire . This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled mechanical engineer looking for a stable, Monday-to-Friday position with excellent company benefits, a strong private pension scheme, overtime opportunities and genuine training and progression prospects . You will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance across a range of building services and mechanical systems, ensuring equipment and facilities remain safe, reliable and operational. Key Responsibilities Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance. Maintain and service a range of mechanical building services equipment. Work on pumps, valves and associated mechanical systems . Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out effective repairs. Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and to a high standard. Complete maintenance records and relevant documentation. Support the wider engineering and facilities team when required. The Ideal Candidate The successful Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will ideally have: Previous experience within a mechanical maintenance or building services environment . Strong practical knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment. A good understanding of PPM and reactive maintenance. A professional and proactive approach to maintenance. Relevant mechanical engineering qualifications would be advantageous.
