Firm Profile

Please make sure you read the following details carefully before making any applications.

gunnercooke LLP is a Top 75 law firm with recognition across 28 disciplines and over 50 individually ranked lawyers. Having launched in 2010, the firm has grown to over 450 solicitors, including 360+ Partners.

With a national and international presence, the firm has offices throughout the UK, Scotland, Germany, and the US. Our purpose is simple; to deliver a positive impact for our clients, provide a better life for our people and to leave a better world than we found.

The firm’s innovative ‘revenue share’ model has helped to reshape the way that the law is practiced in the UK. Each Partner runs his or her own practice within the firm. This quasi-autonomous structure provides Partners with the freedom to work only with the clients they truly want to work with, charging fees that are commercially viable for both the Partner and the client.

The Role

We are looking for a Non-contentious Construction Solicitor 6+ years PQE to join our reputable Construction Team.

You will be joining a team of five solicitors, covering both contentious and non-contentious work, and will be working as a Non-Contentious Construction Senior Associate or Legal Counsel in a rapidly growing team for a Construction Partner based in London, servicing clients across England and Wales.

The ideal candidate will be analytical, focused and conscientious, with strong expertise in construction law and a small, portable book of business.

This role can be based in any of our SRA-registered offices or undertaken remotely, with very occasional office attendance for networking and business development purposes (c. once per month).

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Advising clients on a wide range of non-contentious matters, primarily within real estate and banking-related work
  • Acting for developers, investors, landlords, lenders, and corporate occupiers
  • Managing transactions from instruction through to completion, ensuring matters are delivered efficiently and commercially
  • Providing strategic, commercially focused advice tailored to clients’ business objectives
  • Building and maintaining strong, long-term client relationships
  • Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers where appropriate
  • Contributing to business development and cross-referrals within the firm

This is suitable for individuals who want to step away from a traditional model and springboard their career in a top 75 Law Firm.
