CRA Consulting are delighted to be working in partnership with a well-established and highly regarded regional law firm to recruit an NQ Solicitor or experienced Private Client Paralegal to join its established Wills & Probate team in Doncaster. This is an excellent opportunity for an NQ Solicitor looking to develop their career within Private Client, or an experienced Paralegal who is looking to take the next step in their career within a supportive and established department. The firm has a long-standing presence within the Doncaster legal market and prides itself on providing approachable, reliable and high-quality legal services to individuals, families and businesses across South Yorkshire.

The Role

Joining the Wills & Probate department, you will support the team across a broad range of Private Client matters, with the opportunity to develop your technical knowledge and take on increasing responsibility. The department advises on a range of matters including Wills, Probate and Estate Administration, Inheritance Tax Planning, Trusts, Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection work. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to work alongside and support Paralegals who are progressing towards qualification as either a Solicitor or Legal Executive, making this a particularly good role for someone who enjoys working collaboratively and contributing to the development of others.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting with and managing a varied caseload of Wills & Probate matters.
• Drafting and advising on Wills and associated estate planning matters.
• Assisting with Probate applications and Estate Administration.
• Dealing with Powers of Attorney, Trusts and related Private Client matters.
• Supporting with Court of Protection work where appropriate.
• Providing a high level of client care and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Working collaboratively with Paralegals and supporting their ongoing professional development.
• Progressing your own technical knowledge and taking on increasing responsibility within the department.

About You

We are keen to hear from candidates who have either:

• Recently qualified as a Solicitor and are looking to establish themselves within Private Client; or
• Have strong experience as a Private Client / Wills & Probate Paralegal and are looking for a long-term career opportunity.

You should have a good understanding of Wills, Probate and Estate Administration, together with excellent communication and organisational skills. The ideal candidate will be client-focused, approachable and keen to develop, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a close-knit team.
