Nursery Manager Job Description About the Role We are seeking a passionate and experienced Nursery Manager to lead our team and ensure the highest standards of care, education, and compliance within our nursery. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of early years education, and a commitment to creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. Key Responsibilities * Oversee the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring all policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements are met * Lead, motivate, and manage a team of early years professionals to deliver outstanding care and education * Develop and implement a high-quality curriculum in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework * Ensure the safeguarding and welfare of all children, promoting a safe and inclusive environment * Manage nursery budgets, occupancy levels, and financial performance to support business success * Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and external agencies to support children’s development and well-being * Conduct regular staff training, appraisals, and performance reviews to ensure professional development * Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with Ofsted and other regulatory bodies * Drive continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to enhance nursery standards and practices Requirements * Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent (Level 5 or above preferred) * Proven experience in a managerial role within an early years setting * Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework, safeguarding procedures, and Ofsted requirements * Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills * Ability to manage budgets, occupancy, and operational targets effectively * Passionate about delivering high-quality childcare and early education * A commitment to fostering a positive and supportive team culture Benefits * Competitive salary with performance-based incentives * Professional development and training opportunities * Supportive and welcoming work environment * Generous holiday allowance * Pension scheme and additional benefits If you are a dedicated and experienced early years professional looking to make a meaningful impact, we would love to hear from you.
