Salary: £90 – £110 per day
Daily rate is dependent on experience, qualifications, and relevant training. Higher rates within the band are reserved for candidates with a relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification and more extensive experience. Pay is determined in line with setting expectations and the Agency Worker Regulations (AWR), where applicable.
Hours of work: 8.30am – 3.30pm, Monday to Friday (term time only).
Passionate about giving children the very best start in life? A nurturing early years setting in Lambeth is looking for a dedicated Nursery Nurse to join their team.
About the Role:
We are recruiting on behalf of a warm, well-resourced Early Years setting in Lambeth for a caring Nursery Nurse to support children aged 2 to 5 on a full-time, long-term temporary basis.
You will join a nurturing, experienced Early Years team where every child is known individually and encouraged to explore, play and learn at their own pace, in line with the EYFS framework.
Key Responsibilities:
• Planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework
• Acting as key person for a small group of children, building trusted relationships with children and families
• Observing, assessing and recording childrens development and learning journeys
• Supporting childrens personal, social and emotional development
• Maintaining a safe, clean and stimulating learning environment, indoors and outdoors
• Working closely with the EYFS lead and wider nursery team
• Following safeguarding and health & safety procedures at all times
Requirements:
To be eligible for this role and the stated rate of pay, applicants must have:
• A relevant Early Years qualification (Level 2 or 3, e.g. CACHE, NVQ) or equivalent
• Experience working in a nursery, pre-school or EYFS classroom
• Sound knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding procedures
• A Paediatric First Aid certificate is desirable
• The right to work in the UK
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or a willingness to apply for one)
