Job summary

If you have been working as a Dietitian with an interest and experience in developing and delivering training programmes and have been involved in dietetic practice placement this exciting new role may be of interest to you.

The post holder will get the opportunity to shape nutrition and hydration training based on the recommendations of the Healthcare Food Standards.

The successful candidate will join our team of 30 staff (dietitians, a nutrition support nurse, assistant dietitian practitioners and an administrative assistant) and will work closely with our education team, our current dietetic placement leads and our Practice Placement Facilitator.

The Trust supports remote working and working from home for all team members as appropriate to their role.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will take the lead in delivering and developing nutrition and hydration training and for dietetic practice placement learning.

Job responsibilities

The postholder will:

Support the development of nutrition and dietetic education and training.

Support the Trust in meeting the mandatory nutrition training requirements.

Develop and deliver nutrition and dietetic care learning and development opportunities.

Facilitate a lifelong learning culture to promote continuous professional development and interprofessional learning in practice.

Support dietetic placement to meet and maintain professional standards for practice learning.

Facilitate a quality interprofessional learning environment for students, other learners and staffin the workplace.

Enhance the competence, confidence and capability of the workforce

Act as a visible role model, supporting a culture of learning, psychological safety and improvement

  • HCPC registered Dietitian

  • Teaching or education qualification

Experience

  • Significant post-registration dietetic experience in a variety of different settings
  • Experience delivering education/training to multi-professional groups

  • Evidence of of continuing professional development
