Overview
Joining a nationally recognised Casualty team, you'll work alongside experts in the field advising major insurer clients on a broad range of occupational disease claims. The work is varied and technically challenging, with a particular focus on Noise Induced Hearing Loss (NIHL) and asbestos‑related claims. You’ll support senior lawyers on complex, high‑value litigation while also taking responsibility for your own files, giving you plenty of scope to develop your technical expertise and build your confidence.
Responsibilities
- Advise insurer clients on occupational disease claims, with emphasis on NIHL and asbestos‑related cases.
- Support senior lawyers in complex, high‑value litigation.
- Take responsibility for your own files and manage the day‑to‑day case load.
- Develop and maintain technical expertise in occupational disease litigation.
Qualifications
- Experience as a Senior Paralegal or a Newly Qualified Solicitor in defendant personal injury or occupational disease litigation.
- Background in Employer’s Liability and Public Liability claims.
- Confidence in reviewing medical and expert evidence.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment where client service is paramount.
