Ocean Freight Imports Location: Bradford Salary: £35,000 £40,000, depending on experience Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm Contract: Full-time, permanent We are recruiting an Experienced Freight Professional to join a busy freight forwarding operation in Bradford. The successful candidate will work primarily within the FCL Import Department, coordinating import shipments and delivering excellent customer service. Key responsibilities Arranging import consignments from booking through to delivery Planning and booking deliveries Monitoring shipments and providing customers with updates Completing shipping documentation Entering and maintaining accurate shipment data Raising customer invoices and processing purchase invoices Liaising with customers, shipping lines, hauliers and other service providers Completing general administrative duties Maintaining accurate and well-organised files About you At least one to two years' experience within shipping, freight forwarding or a similar environment Previous import shipment experience, ideally involving FCL imports Knowledge of customs procedures and customs software would be advantageous A strong commitment to excellent customer service Clear and confident communication skills A proactive, organised and dependable approach The ability to prioritise tasks effectively Strong file-management skills and attention to detail The ability to work independently and as part of a team A positive attitude and collaborative approach What's on offer A salary of £35,000 to £40,000, depending on experience Strong professional development opportunities A friendly and knowledgeable working environment A full-time, permanent position with established weekday hours If you are an experienced freight professional looking for your next opportunity, we would be pleased to hear from you.
