We're recruiting for a proactive, highly organised Office Administrator to join a busy food manufacturing business. This is a varied, hands-on role supporting day-to-day office operations, customer service, order processing, dispatch coordination and general administration. You'll suit this role if you're confident working independently, comfortable handling a fast-moving inbox and phone line, and technically capable with Microsoft Office (especially Excel). Experience using Google Sheets and an interest in improving templates, reporting and admin processes is a strong advantage. Key responsibilities Manage shared inbox and phone queries, responding professionally and escalating where needed Process customer orders and support delivery scheduling/booking Coordinate dispatch activity with internal teams and external transport/logistics suppliers Investigate and resolve delivery/order queries and discrepancies Maintain accurate records and operational trackers (orders, dispatch info, stock/production-related updates) Collect and check delivery confirmations (e.g., proof of delivery) and support accounts/admin processing Support compliance-related paperwork for shipments where required (documentation/filing and checks) Provide general admin support: scanning, filing, document prep and ordering office supplies Provide holiday/peak-period cover, including supporting label set-up/printing checks using standard label/design tools and equipment Skills & experience Strong admin background in a busy office environment (manufacturing/warehouse/supply chain exposure is beneficial) Confident working independently with a resilient, proactive approach Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and a customer-focused mindset Strong Microsoft Office skills: Outlook, Word and Excel (formulas/confident data handling) Comfortable using Google Sheets (or willing to learn and improve reporting/templates) High attention to detail (especially for order accuracy and label/detail checking) Organised, able to prioritise and manage multiple tasks to deadlines Benefits Permanent role with full training provided 20 days annual leave + bank holidays Employee perks platform Casual smart dress On-site facilities (standard kitchen/rest areas) and free parking (office-based role) Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm (paid lunch break)
