Office Administrator Shift: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm Type: Temp to Perm Pay rate: £12.71 Location: Wakefield, WF1 Job Summary We are seeking an organised, reliable, and proactive Office Administrator to support the smooth day-to-day running of our office. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the team, maintain accurate records, coordinate office activities, and ensure that employees, customers, and visitors receive a professional and efficient service. The ideal candidate will have strong organisational and communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively. Key Responsibilities * Provide general administrative and clerical support to management and staff. * Answer and direct telephone calls, emails, and general enquiries. * Welcome visitors and provide professional front-of-house support where required. * Manage diaries, appointments, meetings, and meeting room bookings. * Prepare letters, reports, spreadsheets, presentations, and other business documents. * Maintain accurate electronic and paper filing systems. * Process incoming and outgoing post, correspondence, and deliveries. * Order and maintain office supplies, stationery, and equipment. * Liaise with suppliers, contractors, customers, and other external contacts. * Assist with invoices, purchase orders, expenses, and basic financial administration. * Maintain employee, customer, supplier, and company records as appropriate. * Support onboarding and other basic HR administration when required. * Coordinate travel arrangements, meetings, and company events where necessary. * Monitor office facilities and report maintenance or equipment issues. * Ensure confidential and sensitive information is handled appropriately. * Support management and colleagues with ad-hoc administrative tasks and projects. * Help maintain an organised, professional, and efficient working environment. Essential: * Strong organisational and time-management skills. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Good attention to detail and accuracy. * Confident using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. * Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks. * Professional and courteous telephone and email manner. * Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. * Discretion when handling confidential information
