OFFICER (DESIGN CONTRACTS & DELIVERY)

Sitting within the Development & Growth Directorate, The Design Contracts and Delivery team are responsible for designing and delivering key highway and infrastructure projects throughout the city. Projects include C ity C entre development, cycleways, bus priority projects and neighbourhood regeneration schemes.

An opportunity has become available for an Officer/Technicianworking within the Design, Contracts and Delivery Section,providing Design, Contract and Construction Management on a range of infrastructure projects throughout Cardiff.

You willbe requiredtodeliver technical services to ensure the deliveryof high-quality highway schemes thatcomply withboth statutory and council requirements.

What We Are Looking For From You

You will have experiencein delivering highway concept and detailed designs

You will have experience in the use of AutoCAD/Civils 3D

You will have a working knowledge of NEC4 Contracts

You willhave experience ofcontributingto the effective delivery of projects to time, to budget and to the required standard.

Youwill have experience of working withSenior Engineersandhighway design teams.

An understanding of the CDM regulations 2015

A good knowledge of Cardiff’s transport infrastructure and landscape is desirable along with experience of working with key stakeholders.
