Vickerstock are proud to be exclusively partnering with Maine Group to recruit an Operations Supervisor – Material Preparation for their growing manufacturing operation in Garvagh.

This is an excellent opportunity to join one of Northern Ireland's leading engineering businesses, taking responsibility for the day-to-day management of the Material Preparation department.

You'll lead a skilled team, oversee material planning and workflow, and ensure production is delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards in support of major engineering projects.

The Opportunity

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the Material Preparation department
• Plan and coordinate material flow to support production schedules
• Supervise and develop the material handling and preparation team
• Manage stock control, material utilisation and subcontract processing
• Drive improvements in productivity, quality and operational performance
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and quality standards throughout the department

What You'll Need

• Minimum 5 years' experience within material handling or heavy engineering manufacturing
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience
• Strong understanding of production planning and workflow management
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills
• A proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvement
