Operations Technician

GC155:  Operations Technician Location:  Fort William Salary:  Competitive Overview: Our well-established client are Water and Power engineers with experience from feasibility studies to design, project management and O&M. They are looking for a multi-skilled Operations Technician with an electrical background (will also consider Control / PLC or HV Systems) to join a team that delivers mini projects, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and service programmes for clients across UK. Key Responsibilities: The ideal candidate will be able to work on a variety of Water and Power projects including: - Fault finding. Repair and maintenance activities. Hydraulic systems, turbines, motors, pumps, inverters. PLC control systems. HV electrical systems. Work schedule: Regular travel and overnight stays to remote sites. Weekend work may be required occasionally. Paid overtime. Typical work cycle 5.5 / 7, or 11 / 14. Qualifications & Experience: A relevant technical qualification. 4 years+ experience working in the E&M service sector. Experience in a role which is “hands-on the tools” with the ability to use initiative. Proactive and ability to be flexible in a changing environment.
