Oral Health Resource Assistant
Job summary
The Community Dental Service's award-winning Oral Health Improvement Team is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Oral Health Resource Assistant to join our dedicated team.
In this varied and rewarding role, you will provide efficient administrative and practical support to the delivery of evidence-based oral health improvement programmes across the Bradford and Airedale district. Responsibilities include providing clerical support, maintaining accurate data records within community settings, and coordinating the distribution of programme resources to nurseries, schools, and other community organisations.

Main duties of the job
To provide efficient and comprehensive programme support and administration support, including clerical assistance to the delivery of the evidence based oral health Improvement programmes across the Bradford and Airedale District.
The post holder will be required to provide support with the co-ordination and delivery of resources to all community, nursery and school settings involved in the oral health programmes

Qualifications
Essential
- RSA 2 typing Word Processing or equivalent European Computer Driving Licence or equivalent
- Educated to GCSE standard English & Mathematics
Desirable
- RSA 3 Typing/Word processing or equivalent
- Business Administration Qualification
Experience
Essential
- A broad experience of secretarial, administration and clerical tasks and procedures.
- Experience of accessing information from the intranet and internet
- Experience of organising challenging demands and workloads
- Experience in a busy office environment and can demonstrate initiative and problem-solving skills
- Ability to use the telephone in a precise, clear manner
Desirable
- Experience of working in a community /medical and/or a dental environment with a broad knowledge and understanding of medical and dental terminology.
Knowledge
Essential
- Knowledge of secretarial or administrative procedures and systems, some of which are non-routine, and non-routine activities such as answering queries, progress chasing, task related problem solving, acquired through experience and training to Vocational Level 3 or equivalent'
Desirable
- Ability to take minutes
- Knowledge of the NHS Medical/Dental terminology
