Outreach Tutor - Sefton Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting Outreach Tutors to support young people across Sefton! The Opportunity We are seeking committed and experienced Outreach Tutors to provide personalised 1:1 educational support to children and young people who require an alternative approach to education. The learners may be out of education, awaiting a school placement or experiencing difficulties engaging with mainstream education. The role involves delivering tuition whilst building a positive relationship with the learner, encouraging confidence and helping them re-engage with education. Position Details: Location: Sefton Position: Outreach Tutor Hours: 5-15 hours per week Start Date: September 2026 Duration: Ongoing Experience, Training and Qualifications: Experience working with children or young people Previous teaching, tutoring or mentoring experience Experience supporting SEND, SEMH or disengaged learners QTS or equivalent desirable Excellent communication and relationship-building skills A creative and flexible approach To be eligible for this role, you must: Hold the Right to Work in the UK Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the Update Service or be willing to process a new application Provide two professional child-related references Apply Today If you are passionate about helping young people who may have struggled within traditional education, this could be an excellent opportunity for you.
