Outreach Tutor - St Helens The Opportunity Prospero Teaching is recruiting committed Outreach Tutors to support children and young people across St Helens through flexible 1:1 tuition. This role involves working with learners who may be accessing alternative provision, awaiting a school placement or experiencing barriers to mainstream education. You'll deliver tailored tuition while helping students rebuild confidence, develop positive learning habits and achieve meaningful educational progress. Position Details Location: St Helens Position: Outreach Tutor Hours: 5-15 hours per week (flexible) Start Date: September 2026 Duration: Ongoing Experience, Training and Qualifications The ideal candidate will have: Experience delivering 1:1 tuition or mentoring Experience supporting learners with SEND, SEMH or those who are disengaged from education QTS or equivalent teaching qualification (preferred) Excellent communication and relationship-building skills To be eligible, you must: Hold the Right to Work in the UK Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one Provide two professional child-related references Apply Today If you're passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential, we'd love to hear from you.
