Location: Lisburn

Salary: DOE (Dependent on Experience)

Job Type: Permanent

Hours: 46 hours per week

Monday to Thursday: 6:30am - 5:30pm

Friday: 6:30am - 2:30pm

About the Role

Reed Recruitment are seeking a motivated and reliable Paint Kitchen Operative to join our clients team. This is a hands-on role responsible for mixing, preparing, and controlling paint products to precise specifications while supporting production requirements. The successful candidate will be numerically minded, quality-focused, and confident communicating with customers and colleagues to help identify opportunities for additional sales and product recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Mix and prepare paint products in line with customer and production specifications.
  • Measure, weigh, and record materials accurately to ensure product consistency and quality.
  • Monitor stock levels of paints, pigments, and raw materials.
  • Maintain accurate production and batch records.
  • Carry out quality checks on colours, finishes, and product performance.
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health and safety procedures.
  • Keep the paint kitchen and equipment clean, organised, and maintained.
  • Liaise with customers and internal departments regarding product requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to promote additional products and provide customers with suitable solutions.
  • Assist in building strong customer relationships through excellent service and product knowledge.
  • Support the wider production team to ensure customer deadlines are met.

Essential Requirements

  • Previous manufacturing, production, warehouse, or paint mixing experience.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to accurately measure, calculate, and record material usage.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organisational skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Knowledge of health and safety practices within a manufacturing environment.

Desirable

  • Experience within paint, coatings, manufacturing, or industrial production environments.
  • Experience in stock control and inventory management.
  • Previous sales, upselling, or customer-facing experience.
