- 2:30pm About the Role Reed Recruitment are seeking a motivated and reliable Paint Kitchen Operative to join our clients team.

This is a hands-on role responsible for mixing, preparing, and controlling paint products to precise specifications while supporting production requirements.

The successful candidate will be numerically minded, quality-focused, and confident communicating with customers and colleagues to help identify opportunities for additional sales and product recommendations.

Key Responsibilities Mix and prepare paint products in line with customer and production specifications.

Measure, weigh, and record materials accurately to ensure product consistency and quality.

Monitor stock levels of paints, pigments, and raw materials.

Maintain accurate production and batch records.

Carry out quality checks on colours, finishes, and product performance.

Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health and safety procedures.

Keep the paint kitchen and equipment clean, organised, and maintained.

Liaise with customers and internal departments regarding product requirements.

Identify opportunities to promote additional products and provide customers with suitable solutions.

Assist in building strong customer relationships through excellent service and product knowledge.

Support the wider production team to ensure customer deadlines are met.

Essential Requirements Previous manufacturing, production, warehouse, or paint mixing experience.

Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.

Ability to accurately measure, calculate, and record material usage.

Good communication and customer service skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong organisational skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Knowledge of health and safety practices within a manufacturing environment.

Desirable Experience within paint, coatings, manufacturing, or industrial production environments.

Experience in stock control and inventory management.

Previous sales, upselling, or customer-facing experience.
