Paint Process Engineer

Overview: To give direction and provide experience on coatings and corrosion protection systems. To provide competent inspection and quality surveillance of surface preparation and applications.  To monitor full compliance with applicable standards, specifications and contractual requirements across all products and processes. Responsibilities: Act as Paint Specialist on production methods Solution development with direct liaison with paint suppliers and contractors Review and interpret client and project paint/coating specifications Verify surface preparation methods and cleanliness grades Inspect coating application activities and verify compliance with approved procedures Measure and record wet film thickness (WFT) and dry film thickness (DFT) Identify non-conformances and recommend corrective actions for continuous improvement Maintain accurate inspection records, reports and photographic evidence Support final acceptance, handover documentation and coating dossier...
