Painter & Decorator

Temporary Painter & Decorator Location: Cambridge Hours: 39 hours per week (MondayThursday 8:00am5:00pm, Friday 8:00am4:00pm) Pay: £16.45ph We are currently recruiting for an experienced Painter & Decorator to join one of our clients on a temporary basis for a minimum of two weeks.

This role involves carrying out high-quality painting and decorating work across a varied portfolio of modern and historic buildings.

Key Responsibilities Prepare surfaces including sanding, filling, cleaning and priming.

Carry out internal and external painting and decorating to a high standard.

Apply a range of finishes including emulsions, gloss, varnishes and specialist coatings.

Wallpapering and decorative finishes where required.

Undertake decorating work on both modern and heritage properties, following conservation requirements where applicable.

Work safely and maintain clean, tidy work areas at all times.

Liaise with other trades and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Requirements Proven experience as a Painter & Decorator.

Experience working on both modern and older buildings.

Strong surface preparation and finishing skills.

High attention to detail and pride in producing quality work.

Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.

NVQ Level 2 in Painting & Decorating (or equivalent experience) is desirable.

Full UK driving licence is advantageous.

Physically fit, as the role involves manual handling and working within older buildings.
