Job Title : Paraplanner / Trainee Adviser
Location: Leeds Office Based
Salary: £40,000 £45,000, depending on experience

About the Company:
An established, small and friendly financial services firm based in Leeds is looking to appoint an experienced Level 4 qualified Paraplanner to join their close-knit team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Paraplanner who is looking to take the next step in their career and progress towards becoming a Financial Adviser. The successful candidate will continue to undertake Paraplanning responsibilities while receiving the opportunity to develop their knowledge and experience as a Trainee Adviser.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality Paraplanning support to the Adviser and wider team
Prepare suitability reports, financial analysis and recommendations
Assist with pension, investment and protection-related cases
Support the Adviser with the management and servicing of an established client bank
Assist with new business processing and ongoing client reviews
Conduct research and analysis to support financial planning recommendations
Liaise with product providers and other third parties
Ensure all client documentation is accurate, compliant and completed within agreed timescales
Take on increasing responsibility for client relationships as experience develops
Work towards progressing into a Trainee Adviser position
Develop the skills and experience required to eventually provide regulated financial advice
What Were Looking For:
Level 4 Diploma qualified in Financial Planning
Previous experience working as a Paraplanner within financial services
Strong understanding of financial planning and investment products
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage workloads and work to deadlines
Professional, personable and confident when dealing with clients and colleagues
A proactive approach with the ability to work independently
Someone who is genuinely interested in progressing into a Financial Adviser role
Comfortable working within a small, family-run team environment
Willingness to work office-based in Leeds
Desirable Skills:
Experience using Intelligent Office (IO)
Experience using Defaqto
Experience supporting an Adviser with a varied client bank
Strong report-writing and analytical skills
Previous experience with pensions, investments and protection
A genuine ambition to progress into an Adviser role
